John 3:16, “For God so loved the world…” is a Christian fav. So will unbelievers in Jesus perish/suffer in hell forever, or does the Greek word for perish (apollumi) mean something else?

Awesome message! The world is ALREADY perishing, which most people don’t realize. Most of us were taught that it’s in the future, in the afterlife. God sent His Son to put an END to the perishing, just as John 3:17 says, “that the world would be SAVED!”
