The biblical premise of Christian Universalism is that the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross was efficacious to secure eternal salvation for all people who ever lived. Nothing from us needs to be added to the cross. Not our faith, our confession, our works or our life choices. What Jesus accomplished was entirely sufficient. Some will say, “If that’s true, couldn’t we live however we please? Couldn’t we continue to sin willfully, knowing that we’re ‘covered’?” Watch as I share a big flaw with this kind of thinking!
