PHIL’S FAV: Coach Buzz Williams Teaches Respect for the National Anthem, in 2015

In Nov. 2015, long before there was a “buzz” about using the National Anthem as a means to protest various causes, Coach BUZZ WILLIAMS decided to educate his Virginia Tech basketball team on the importance of honoring VETERANS.
Watch this moving tribute and notice the respect that these Hokie players show to their coach and the group of Veterans assembled.
Our Power Gospel first posted this video for Memorial Day, 2016.
May players from all teams and leagues around the USA, and fans too, when the Star Spangled Banner is played, STAND, PAUSE, REFLECT and GIVE THANKS for how blessed we are.
God bless our Vets and also, law enforcement and first responders everywhere. Thank you!

  1. Pastor Henry & Coach Williams,

    Outstanding JOB !

You gave TRUE HONOR to all of our country’s fallen by celebrating with a memorable song that we can STILL sing to this day because of THE FREEDOM that they LOST for “U.S.” !

    Semper Fidelis,
    Emery Persinger

    Ps.
